(2025/12/17) 2025 KAIST Global Research Cooperation Awards
Junhan received the Grand Prize (최우수상) at the 2025 KAIST Global Research Cooperation Awards (글로벌 연구 협력상), recognizing excellence in global research collaboration.
The award was presented at the 2025 Faculty Celebration for Tenure, Promotion, and Awards Dinner (승진 · 정년보장 임용 · 포상 수상 교원 축하행사), organized by the KAIST Office of Academic Affairs.

Junhan, Bong Won Sohn (KASI), and Jeff Hodgson (Sejong University) held a discussion with KAIST–ATNF G-HUB Program collaborators Cormac Reynolds and Chris Phillips from CSIRO Australia on the LAMBDA project during the 16th East Asian VLBI Workshop 2025 (EAVW 2025).

Junhan, Yeomoon, and Adriana Gavidia (Caltech) attended the 2025 Merging Cluster Workshop.
Junhan gave an oral presentation titled "CHEX-MATE: CLUster Multi-Probes in Three Dimensions (CLUMP-3D)".
Yeomoon presented a poster titled "Gas Axial Ratios and Orientations of the CHEX-MATE DR1 Galaxy Clusters".
(2025/10/23) 2025 Fall Korean Physical Society Meeting (Gwangju)
KAIST URP student Minjae Kim (2025 Winter/Spring) received the Excellence Award (우수상) in the 2025 KPS Undergraduate Physics Research Competition (학부생 물리연구 경진대회) for the presentation "Identifying Observational Signatures of the Hot Circumgalactic Medium with X-ray Probes Using Cosmological Simulations". Congratulations!
This follows his previous Excellence Award in the 2025 Winter/Spring URP Workshop and the Outstanding Presentation Award at the 2025 KPS Spring Meeting.

(2025/09/10) Dr. Howard Hui’s Visit to KAIST
Dr. Howard Hui (California Institute of Technology / NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory) visited KAIST and delivered an Astronomy & Astrophysics Seminar titled "Observing the Early Universe from the South Pole to Space".
(2025/08/06–08/16) Visit to Caltech and OVRO
Junhan and MinSu visited the California Institute of Technology and the Owens Valley Radio Observatory to collaborate on ongoing research projects, including the CO Mapping Array Project (COMAP).
(2025/07/29) SBS Foundation Scholarship
MinSu has been awarded the SBS Foundation Scholarship (SBS 문화재단 스칼라십). He will receive research support funding for 5.5 years. Congratulations!
(2025/07/15) Wooseok's Last Day
Wooseok, who has been working with the ObsCAL group as a post-baccalaureate researcher since September of last year, has completed his time at KAIST.
He will begin his Ph.D. studies in Astronomy & Astrophysics at University of Chicago this fall. We thank Wooseok for his contributions to the group and wish him all the best as he starts this exciting next chapter. Good luck!

Junhan served as the chair for the SKA-VLBI town hall session.

(2025/03/25) Prof. Masateru Ishiguro’s Visit to KAIST
Prof. Masateru Ishiguro (Department of Physics & Astronomy at Seoul National University) visited KAIST.
He delivered an invited talk titled "Asteroid Research at Seoul National University" at the 3rd KAIST Space Institute (KSI) Workshop, held under the theme "Understanding Asteroid-related Research Trends and Identifying Future Exploration Mission Topics."

Dr. Jeonghee Rho (SETI Institute in California and Brain Pool Fellow at Seoul National University) visited KAIST and delivered an Astronomy & Astrophysics Seminar titled "JWST Imaging and Spectroscopy of the Supernova Remnant Cassiopeia A and Molecule and Dust Formation".
